ABOUT NGEE ANN
Inaugurated in 1963 as Ngee Ann College with only 116 students, Ngee Ann Polytechnic is today one of Singapore’s leading institutions of higher learning with almost 15,000 full‐time students, more than 3,000 part‐time students and an alumni community of over 157,000.
The polytechnic offers 49 full‐time courses through its nine academic schools ‐ School of Business & Accountancy, School of Design & Environment, School of Engineering, School of Film & Media Studies, School of Health Sciences, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, School of InfoComm Technology, School of Interdisciplinary Studies, and School of Life Sciences & Chemical Technology. Ngee Ann supports Continuing Education and Training (CET) through its CET Academy which offers a wide range of part‐time programmes. The Polytechnic has also established two Centres of Innovation – in Environmental & Water Technology and Marine & Offshore Technology – to work on collaborative research and technology projects.

Chairman
Mr Tang Kin Fei
Mr Tang is Group President & CEO of Sembcorp Industries. With 30 years at Sembcorp, he is credited with spearheading its growth into a focused energy, water, marine and urban development group with operations spanning five continents worldwide. He also sits on the board of Sembcorp Marine, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, as a non-executive and non-independent director. A Council Member of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Tang also serves on several China-Singapore business councils. In addition, he is a member of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Academic and Industry Group Executive Committee of National Research Foundation and the Defence Science and Technology Agency Board. He is also Vice Chairman and Trustee of the Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, and College Advisory Board Chairman of Nanyang Technological University’s College of Engineering.

Mrs Deborah Ong
Mrs Ong, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, has over three decades of public accounting experience. Currently she is an International Team Leader with the Global Assurance Quality Review Group. She has led many of PwC Singapore’s major audit engagements and the Human Capital, and Risk and Quality functions. Mrs Ong is a member of the Workforce Singapore Agency, and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine Governing Board Member at Nanyang Technological University, chairing their Audit and Risk Committee. She was appointed Deputy President of CPA Australia in 2016. She is also a member of the Singapore Institute of Technology Advisory Committee and the Council for Estate Agencies.

Mr Clarence Ti Boon Wee
Mr Ti is the Principal of Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Prior to this appointment, Mr Ti served more than 15 years in the public sector, holding positions in the Economic Development Board, Singapore Land Authority, Ministry of Law, and Ministry of Finance where he was Chief Executive Officer of VITAL, a department under that ministry. He is also a Board Director of the School of Science & Technology, Singapore.
Mr Goh Kim Hock
Mr Goh is the Managing Director of PT Topus International, Chiat Si Industrial Pte Ltd and CSIPL Pte Ltd. He has close to three decades of experience in the manufacturing industry. Mr Goh is also a Director of Ngee Ann Development Pte Ltd. He is Chairman of the Education/Scholarships and Bursaries Committee of Ngee Ann Kongsi as well as the Management Committee of Ngee Ann Secondary School and Ngee Ann Primary School. He is also a Director of the Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre.
COL Goh Si Hou
COL Goh is currently the Assistant Chief of the General Staff (Plans) at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). He has held several leadership positions which include Division Artillery Commander, 3rd Division, and Deputy Director (Personnel Policy) in MINDEF. He also headed a project office supporting MINDEF's Committee to Strengthen National Service. In addition, COL Goh was an Alternate Director on the board of ST Electronics (Info-Comm System) Pte Ltd.
Professor Ho Yew Kee
Professor Ho is the Associate Provost (Skills Future & Staff Development) of the Singapore Institute of Technology. He obtained his PhD in Accounting from Carnegie Mellon University, is a Fellow with CPA Australia and CA Singapore, and a Council member of ISCA. Professor Ho is also active on the Boards of listed company, charity sector and statutory boards. He serves as a Director of UOI Ltd, St Luke’s Hospital, Singapore Tax Academy and Dover Park Hospice and was previously on the Board of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).
Professor David Hung Wei Loong
Professor Hung is currently Associate Dean of the Office of Education Research at the National Institute of Education, Singapore. He is an Honorary Consultant to Ministry of Education’s (MOE) Educational Technology Division as well as a member of several of MOE’s committees. These include the Edulab Steering Committee, the ICT Masterplan in Education Planning Committee, the Singapore Curriculum Philosophy and Pedagogical Practices Working Committee and the Committee for Translational Research, Innovation & Scaling.
Professor Francis Koh Cher Chiew
Professor Koh is the Vice Provost (Special Projects) at the Office of Provost, Singapore Management University (SMU). Concurrently, he is the Director of the Master of Science in Wealth Management Programme at SMU. He was previously a Deputy Director at GIC and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at the National University of Singapore. He is currently a Board Member of China Taiping Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Singapore College of Insurance and Singapore Chinese Girls’ School, and sits on the Eunoia JC College Advisory Committee. He is an Advisor of Helvetic Investment Pte Ltd and SAFRA’s Finance Committee. At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, he is a member of the Investment Committee.
Mr Richard Lee Sew Iam
Mr Lee is the Vice-President of Ngee Ann Kongsi (NAK) and a Chairman of Ngee Ann Development Pte Ltd, the property arm of NAK. He is a member of the Management Committee of Ngee Ann Secondary School. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from New York University, USA.
Mr Ow Fook Chuen
Mr Ow is Singapore’s Accountant-General. He is also a Director at the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority and Singapore Deposit Guarantee Corporation Pte Ltd, as well as a member of SMU School of Accountancy Advisory Board, the Public Accountants Oversight Committee and People’s Association Community Development Fund Board of Trustee, and Trustee of Singapore University Trust. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of Singapore. Prior to his current position, he held various key appointments in the Civil Service and was also appointed to the Singapore Accounting Standards Council between 2009 and 2011.
Mr Pek Lian Guan
Mr Pek is the Executive Director and CEO of Tiong Seng Holdings Ltd and the Managing Director of Tiong Seng Contractors Pte Ltd. He has more than 20 years of experience in project management for civil engineering and building works. Mr Pek holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (First Class Hons) from Loughborough University of Technology, United Kingdom. He is a member of BCA Academy Advisory Panel, Member of the Built Environment (BE) Cluster Sub-Committee under the Council for Skills, Innovation and Productivity, Chairman of Board of Governance of UOB-SMU Asian Enterprise Institute, the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry 59th Council and the Singapore-Tianjin Economic & Trade Council.
Adjunct Associate Professor Joe Sim Heng Joo
As Deputy Chief Executive of the National University Health System (NUHS), Adjunct A/Prof Sim is responsible for advancing care integration between the NUHS and the community. He drives the expansion of the group’s primary care networks and capabilities, as well as deepens links of healthcare professionals to patients and community partners. He also assists the Chief Executive in the development and execution of the NUHS Informatics Platform to enable the group to execute its missions, including the development of innovative, sustainable and cost effective solutions which benefit population health, as well as in the training of future generations of healthcare leaders. A passionate teacher, Adjunct A/Prof Sim is a faculty member with the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS Business School and the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, sharing his knowledge and experience in healthcare administration with students from the schools. He is a member of the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Council, and Board Member of the SkillsFuture Singapore Board and the Urban Redevelopment Authority.
Mr Dhirendra Shantilal
Mr Shantilal is the Global Board Director at Fircroft Engineering Services Ltd. He has more than 35 years of experience in recruitment and workforce management and has managed operations across multiple countries and territories in Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Europe. He is a Committee Member of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies – Asia and a member of the Board of Trustees of Qatar National Library. Prior to Fircroft, he was the Senior Vice President at Kelly Services and Managing Director of Business Trends, a homegrown recruitment and staffing company. He has also been an Advisor to the Franchising and Licensing Association of Singapore since 2003.
Ms Shona Francoise Tan Shar Mei
Ms Tan currently heads both the Corporate Communications and Service Excellence teams at the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). She is also the Chief Brand and Communications Officer at NTUC Enterprise which oversees all the NTUC Social Enterprises. She is also Director at Majority Media where she oversees all publishing functions for the Labour Movement. Ms Tan graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree, before going on to attain a Masters in Marketing & Tourism. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked in both the private and public sector; ranging from hospitality and consulting to international trade before joining NTUC. Her experience spans across branding, communications, marketing, public relations and service excellence.
Mr Jamie Teo Miang Yeow
In his current capacity as the CEO of Singapura Finance Ltd, Mr Teo is involved in various aspects of the organisation, from strategy to credit control to information technology. He was instrumental in the banking system upgrade and rebranding of Singapura Finance. Mr Teo has also worked with Ernst & Young Consultants, assisting small & medium enterprises in business planning and strategy implementation. He is also the Vice-President of Ngee Ann Kongsi, a member of the Management Committee of Ngee Ann Secondary School and a Director of Ngee Ann Education Holdings Pte Ltd. In addition, he is a Director of See Hoy Chan (1988) Pte Ltd and an EXCO Member of Orchard Road Business Association.
Mr Yue Lip Sin
Mr Yue is the Director of Assessment and Research Division of the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board. Prior to this, from 2004 to 2011, he was the Deputy Director, Mother Tongue Languages Branch, Curriculum Planning and Development Division, Ministry of Education, and the Principal of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2000 to 2004.

OVERVIEW OF GRADUATES 2017
A total of 4,883 students graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2017. Polytechnic graduates continued to be sought after by employers and maintained high salaries in 2016. The Graduate Employment Survey 2016 results showed that the overall employment rate for fresh polytechnic graduates increased to 90.6 per cent, while for post-National Service graduates it rose to 95.4 per cent.
